John Bates had a pretty good idea of how to give his daughter Sis the type of support needed to position her for success before they became Firecrackers. It was not only about the time and finances needed, but most of all an understanding of what she needed emotionally to be the player and role model that she is today. As she enters her final year at Washington, John gives us some insight on what it’s like to be the “#GirlDad” of Sis Bates.
We want to thank you all for doing your part in making this past year so successful. FC teams across the country are enjoying new levels of success on and off the field, and we are excited to make this year even better.
Hard Work Beats Talent When Talent Doesn't Work Hard
Hello, Firecrackers -
Good news! Across the nation, many areas are returning to play. As we return to the fields, it is critical that we do so safely and in compliance with local laws. We have attached an example waiver form. There are many examples out there. The important thing is to review with your insurance provider to make sure it fits within your local coverage requirements. Many teams use PGF insurance, which also has a waiver you may use. Visit their website to download it.
We have also attached a word document with suggested safety protocols. As this information is changing daily and by city, we recommend you tailor it to your specific needs.
Lastly, we have attached a Return to Play document from TCS that contains other pertinent information. Please review these forms.
Most importantly, meet with your parents before you return to the field. Review your new safety protocols, waivers, and address any questions you have.
Stay safe and play FC Strong!
